Causes
There are seven cervical vertebrae in our neck; and are arranged one over another with a particular gap between each other.
Our neck has seven cervical vertebrae. These vertebrae are arranged one over another, having a particular gap between In some conditions like ageing, injuries, any disease related to bones and in the condition of wear or growing of bones the distance or gap between these vertebrae becomes abnormal. Consequently the nerves passing, through the region get pressurized. This pressure gives rise to the symptoms of this disease. If there is without inflammation it is called Cervical spondylostis. Working continuously in tense atmosphere also produces this condition.
Treatment
After consulting as per doctor’s advice we give diet therapy, yog therapy, hydro therapy etc. This apart we also give the following.

The patient should not use very thick mattress and pillow. It will be better that a mattress of 1/2" to I" thickness be used on hard bed. If the use of pillow seems necessary it may also be of the same thickness. |
